År 2012 inrättade kommissionen en expertgrupp för marknaden för jordbruksråvaruderivat och spothandeln med jordbruksråvaror. Medlemmarna företräder EU-länderna och europeiska sammanslutningar inom olika jordbrukssektorer.
Expertgruppen hjälper kommissionen med råd och sakkunskap när det gäller
- hur marknaden för jordbruksråvaruderivat och spothandeln med jordbruksråvaror fungerar
- genomförandet av EU-lagstiftning och strategier
- arbetet med lagförslag och initiativ på området.
