Overzicht
In 2012 heeft het directoraat-generaal Landbouw en Plattelandsontwikkeling van de Europese Commissie een deskundigengroep voor de derivaten- en spotmarkten voor landbouwgrondstoffen opgericht. De leden van die groep vertegenwoordigen EU-landen en Europese verenigingen uit verschillende hoeken van de landbouw.
Het is een adviesorgaan met als taak om de diensten van de Commissie advies en expertise te leveren over:
- de werking van de derivaten- en spotmarkten voor landbouwgrondstoffen
- de uitvoering van bestaande wetgeving en bestaand beleid van de EU op dit gebied
- de voorbereiding van relevante wetgevingsvoorstellen en beleidsinitiatieven
