Burrata on a salad bed flavoured with Strandzhanski manov med PDO honey

Overflowing with sweetness and packed with micronutrients, this oak honey is the perfect dressing for a full and flavoursome salad.

How to prepare

Ingredients

For the salad

  • 2 burrata balls
  • 300 g spinach leaves, washed
  • 4 small red and yellow beets, sliced
  • 6 carrots, halved lengthwise
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Strandzhanski manov med PDO
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • salt, pepper and fresh oregano

For the dressing

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Strandzhanski manov med PDO
  • salt, pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the sliced vegetables on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

2. Mix the olive oil, lemon, and Strandzhanski manov med PDO. Season the mixture with salt, pepper and fresh oregano and spoon it over the vegetables. Roast in the preheated oven for 40 min. at 180°C or until tender.

3. Make the dressing.

4. Build the salad – arrange the spinach leaves on a plate. Place the burrata balls in the centre and the roast vegetables around them.

5. Spoon over the dressing, sprinkle over some fresh oregano, some pepper and 1 tsp sesame seeds.
