Private storage aid for olive oil

Details on the outcome of the tendering periods.

Tendering periods

First period: 21-26 November 2019

Offers in the first tendering period were received exclusively from Spanish operators for the three categories. The European Commission approved a small number of offers up to a level of aid of 0.83 euro/tonne/day for 180 days for virgin and lampante olive oils categories. Accepted offers corresponded to 3,649.98 tonnes. No offers were accepted for extra virgin olive oil.

Second period: 12-17 December 2019

Offers in the second tendering period were received exclusively from Spanish operators for the three categories. The Commission approved a small number of offers up to a level of aid of EUR 1.10 per tonne per day for virgin and lampante olive oils categories. The offers accepted corresponded to a volume of 17,629.18 tonnes. No offers were accepted for extra virgin olive oil.

Third period: 22-27 January 2020

Offers in the third tendering period were received mainly from Spanish operators for the three categories and to a smaller extent from Italian operators for extra virgin olive oil. The Commission approved a significant number of offers up to a level of aid of EUR 0.88 per tonne per day for extra virgin, virgin and lampante olive oils categories. The offers accepted corresponded to a volume of 150,521.66 tonnes.

Fourth period: 20-25 February 2020

Offers in the last tendering period were received from Spanish, Italian and Portuguese operators. The Commission approved offers up to a level of aid of EUR 0.83 per tonne per day for extra virgin, virgin and lampante olive oils categories. The offers accepted corresponded to a volume of 41,644.28 tonnes.
