Overview
The aim of the EU wine market observatory is to provide the EU wine sector with more transparency by means of disseminating market data and short-term analysis in a timely manner. The following dashboards and reports display statistical data and the evolution of wine production and consumption on the European market over time.
Market data
The agri-food data portal provides up-to-date and interactive statistics on the EU wine market, including:
- Wine prices app: data for wine prices, as communicated by EU countries in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2917/1185 Art. 12(a) - Annex 11.3(a).
- Wine production and stocks app: annual data for wine production, opening stocks, availability, area, and yield per hectare (since the marketing year 1997/1998).
- Wine trade data: export and import data per different product category, EU country, and external trade partners (since the marketing year 2001).
- Wine dashboard: a wide range of data and analysis relating to the wine market.
