Report
During the workshop, participants focused on two key topics: the overview of farm structures in candidate countries and the impact of enlargement on agriculture and rural areas in Bulgaria and Czechia.
Experts emphasised that EU enlargement has had a significant impact on agriculture, leading to economic growth, farm consolidation, increased competitiveness, and significant changes in farm structures and specialisations.
The workshop also took stock of the farm structures and rural populations in the Western Balkans, Moldova and Ukraine.
