Goal and strategy

Bulgaria’s strategy aims to promote the sustainable development of the agricultural sector by supporting viable farm income and enhancing competitiveness. It envisages various interventions for improving the living and working conditions in rural areas and responding to the needs of young and small farmers. The Plan will also support sustainable farming practices and envisages a significant contribution to the protection of natural resources, including by promoting investments that target them.

Annual performance reports

Bulgaria presents the performance, spending, outputs, and results achieved with the CSP in the annual performance report. It covers both a qualitative and a quantitative overview of the CSP's implementation.

    The Commission approved Bulgaria’s CAP Strategic Plan.

  3. 22 November 2022

    Bulgaria submitted a revised proposal, addressing the Commission’s observations on the first draft.

  4. 9 June 2022

    Bulgaria's comments on Commission observation letter.

  5. 23 May 2022

    Commission sent an observation letter on Bulgaria's CAP Strategic Plan.

  6. 25 February 2022

    Bulgaria submitted its first proposal for a CAP Strategic Plan.

  7. 30 March 2021

    Commission issued a Staff Working Document containing recommendations for Bulgaria´s CAP Strategic Plan.

Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 establishing rules on support for strategic plans to be drawn up by EU countries under the common agricultural policy (CAP Strategic Plans).
