The Salon International de l’Agriculture took place in Paris, France, from 24 February to 3 March 2024. It was the opportunity for visitors to find out how the EU paves the way towards green, resilient and sustainable farming for everyone, including:
- the key role the common agricultural policy (CAP) plays to ensure safe and affordable food, environmental care, vibrant and lively rural areas, while supporting European farmers' income;
- how the EU helps us make healthier food choices and cut out food waste to meet the targets of sustainable food systems;
- how the EU empowers the farming industry, from satellite imagery to geo-tagged photos and real-time data to improve decision-making and promote sustainable farming practices.

The EU stand offered a number of activities to celebrate and get a taste of Europe with:
- every day, don’t miss our quizzes, participatory workshops, cooking demonstrations, blind tests, guess the ingredient, info sessions, and live cooking shows by local cooks using organic ingredients and geographical indications products inviting you to sample unique flavours;
- interactive experiences to let you explore European farming in a new light, learn more on the importance of soil health, and find out how to prevent food waste;
- workshops and presentations by experts and EU representatives to delve into the various types of agricultural production, and why they matter for the future of the planet.
