Report
Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski visited Vietnam and Singapore from 10 to 16 July 2022, accompanied by a business delegation of senior representatives from the European agri-food sector. The purpose of this visit was to facilitate European agricultural food and beverage exports and to benefit from the favourable outcome of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the EU-Vietnam FTA.
The objective of the business delegation visit was to give European producers’ representatives the opportunity to meet not only potential partners from local markets, but also representatives of the agri-food sector from the whole region.
The programme of activities for the business delegates included informative seminars on the characteristics of the local markets and consumer trends, retail and site visits, and networking opportunities. The visit took place in Hanoi (Vietnam) from 10 to 12 July 2022, in Ho Chi Minh from 12 to 14 July and in Singapore from 14 to 16 July.
