Report
During the first day, opened by Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan, the Conference considered the policy and political questions of agricultural sustainability and climate change, including high-level panel discussions together with EU Commissioners for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete, and for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Karmenu Vella.
The second day focused on the latest outlook for EU dairy, meat and arable crop markets for the next ten years and saw a number of expert panels discussing the different sectors.
Participants included stakeholders representing EU institutions, governments and international organisations, as well as those involved in the food chain, market experts, academics and think tanks, and the broader civil society.
