Janusz Wojciechowski began his mandate as Commissioner for Agriculture on 1 December 2019.
Over the past five years, Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski has worked to ensure that the agricultural sector continues to deliver food security and support farming families, while adapting to climate, demographic, and technological changes, with a focus on promoting a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food system. During his mandate, he has been actively involved in numerous high-level meetings with agricultural ministers, as well as conferences and agricultural fairs across the EU. He also carried out 6 promotional business missions to Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, India, China and Kazakhstan, each with dozens of farmers and agri-business representatives.

High-level Missions of Commissioner Wojciechowski
EU Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski visited Kazakhstan on 27-31 May 2024, accompanied by a business delegation of senior representatives from the EU agri-food sector.
The High-Level Mission led by Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski to China in April 2024 saw participation from 72 EU companies and organisations representing various agri-food sectors.
