Overview
Information on the publication of additional import duties applicable to certain agricultural products in the poultry sector, including poultry meat, eggs, and egg albumin. These measures are established in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 and Regulation (EU) No 510/2014 which provide the framework for applying additional import duties.
The purpose of these duties is to prevent or counteract adverse effects on the Union market that may arise from imports at abnormally low prices. By ensuring a level playing field for EU producers, these instruments contribute to market stability and safeguard the economic viability of the sector.
The current publication is based on Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2834, which lays down the triggering prices and corresponding additional duties as well as the methodology to calculate reference prices and the corresponding guarantee.
